The lamp I got for my wife has really brightened up her life. She’s now able to read, tackle jigsaws, and enjoy crosswords again. These are activities she couldn’t do for the past four years. It’s not the least expensive option available, but seeing the joy on her face makes it all worthwhile. The service was absolutely top-notch in every respect. Plus, it’s made in Great Britain!

One of the parts on our lamp's plug was damaged. We received quick, friendly, and effective assistance, and they sent us a replacement part for just the postage fee. This has been the best response we've had from any company lately.

Hey there, I've tried reaching out to this company multiple times about a sales question, but they're always busy and never return my calls. They sure spend a lot on ads, but the ladies who pick up the phone can't really help. I'm gonna go with a different brand now.

I purchased a Gemini light with high definition on December 14th, but it got caught up in some Christmas delivery issues. When I reached out to Serious Readers, they jumped right in to help, and the light was located and showed up the next day.

Upon opening the package, I noticed a small problem with one of the light housings. I got in touch with Serious Readers again, and Claire quickly addressed the situation, sending a replacement light unit that was super easy to install, plus she arranged for Freepost return of the original unit. Everything was resolved in just 3 days, right before Christmas!

The light itself is really well constructed, incredibly bright at its highest setting, yet adjustable for any room and purpose. We’re very happy with both the product and the excellent customer service.

Awesome products, but the service is a real head-scratcher. I was lured in by the deals from the SR eBay channel and was thrilled to hear about an extra discount they were offering. But honestly, I shouldn't have wasted my time trying to grab that discount. It just didn’t work out for SR customers.

When I pointed out to SR that this was an unbacked perk for their clientele and that they ought to do something about it, there was just total indifference. Days have passed, and I'm still waiting for any word that they’ve sorted this out.

It’s a small gripe, but it’s still a bit frustrating. I did snag their fantastic product at a decent price, even if it wasn’t discounted.

Fingers crossed that my experience was just a one-off. Still, it leaves a bit of a sour taste.

My only minor issue is that my most recent bedside lamp tends to tip over a bit too easily (it's the HD Legacy table lamp, not a freebie). That said, the light is fantastic for reading in bed and really looks sharp. The illumination from the Alex table lamp, which you get for free with the purchase of the bigger light, is quite impressive. That said, the base design leaves a lot to be desired. It's not big enough, making it wobbly (I've accidentally knocked mine over a few times). Pro tip: Use Araldite to secure it to your glass tabletop for added safety.

Great item, but what really stands out is the amazing support I got when one of my floor lamps had an issue after three years. They picked up the broken light and had it back to me in under a week, all for free and covered by the warranty. No fuss whatsoever, and the staff were super helpful and friendly. Kudos to them!

I've picked up a few Serious lights and have been quite happy with them. But my most recent buy didn't quite hit the mark, probably due to a little design issue. Working with this company is fantastic since they really pay attention, and after giving me a full refund, they even upgraded my older light as a nice gesture, which I'm really pleased about now. I can't recommend this company highly enough and would gladly shop with them again if I need to.
